Grabs another pick vs. Bucs
Terrell recorded seven total tackles (six solo) and one interception in Sunday's 31-26 win over the Buccaneers.
Analysis: The Clemson product finished tied as the Falcons' second-leading tackler Sunday, trailing only Kaden Elliss' 11-stop effort. Terrell was also one of two Falcons to pick off Baker Mayfield in Week 8, intercepting a pass in the fourth quarter to help Atlanta maintain a two-score lead. The 26-year-old corner is expected to continue making plays for the Falcons' defense in Week 9, when the Cowboys come to Atlanta.

Registers first pickoff of campaign
Terrell posted three tackles (two solo) and an interception in Sunday's 38-20 Week 6 win over the Panthers.
Analysis: Terrell finished with a season-low tackle total, but he also came up with a big interception. With the Falcons up eight points early in the fourth quarter, Terrell intercepted Andy Dalton after Carolina had advanced to Atlanta's 32-yard line. It was Terrell's first interception since he tallied three in the 2021 campaign.

Inks four-year extension
Terrell agreed Thursday with the Falcons on a four-year, $81 million contract extension, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: The deal includes $65.8 million guaranteed and makes Terrell the second-highest paid cornerback on an annual basis at $20.25 million, trailing only the Packers' Jaire Alexander, per Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com. Terrell, whom the Falcons took 16th overall in the 2020 NFL Draft, was a second-team All-Pro selection in 2021, when he recorded career highs in tackles (81), pass breakups (16) and interceptions (three). Forces zero turnovers in 2023
Terrell finished 2023 with 45 tackles (34 solo) and 11 pass defenses in 17 appearances.
Analysis: Terrell is considered one of the best cover cornerbacks in the league, but he's struggled to generate production the last two seasons, especially in the playmaking department. After totaling four interceptions and four forced fumbles across his first two NFL seasons, the 2020 first-round pick has recorded just one fumble recovery over the last two campaigns. As long as that trend continues, Terrell is a better player in real life than fantasy. Atlanta exercised the fifth-year team option for…read more

Clears protocol, available Sunday
Terrell was removed from Atlanta's injury report and has been upgraded to available for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers after clearing concussion protocol, Terrin Waack of the Falcons' official site reports.
Analysis: Terrell was removed from last week's 13-8 win over the Jets after sustaining a concussion in the first quarter, but he advanced quickly through the NFL's five-step protocol for head injuries and shouldn't face any limitations with his snap count Sunday. The shutdown corner hasn't been tested too much this season and as a result has recorded just 32 tackles and zero interceptions over his 12 appearances.

Questionable for Sunday
Terrell (concussion) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the Buccaneers.
Analysis: The All-Pro cornerback seems to be trending in the right direction to play this weekend, as he went from logging a limited practice session Thursday to a full workload Friday. Nonetheless, Terrell must clear concussion protocol in order to suit up Sunday, and if he's unable to do so, Dee Alford and Clark Phillips would likely see more work in the Falcons' secondary.

Analysis: Terrell will return to action Sunday after missing Atlanta's previous three games due to a hamstring issue. Questionable for Week 11
Terrell (hamstring) is considered questionable to play Sunday versus the Bears, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official website reports.
Analysis: Terrell returned to practice this week, opening the door for his potential return to the field after missing the last three games with a hamstring injury. He appears to have a realistic shot at being active for Week 11, but his status is worth monitoring as Sunday approaches. Rashad Fenton and Isaiah Oliver would be set for increased roles once again versus Chicago if Terrell can't go.

Won't play Thursday
Terrell (hamstring) has been ruled out for Thursday's matchup against Carolina, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Terrell will miss a third straight game to a hamstring injury. Ruled out for Week 8
Terrell (hamstring) won't play Sunday against the Panthers, Michael Rothstein of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Terrell will sit out after injuring his hamstring in the Week 7 loss to Cincinnati. Unavailable for practice
Terrell (hamstring) won't be available to practice Wednesday, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Analysis: Terrell suffered a hamstring injury in Week 7 versus the Bengals and is week-to-week according to head coach Arthur Smith. He'll likely have to return to practice in some form Thursday to have a shot at playing Sunday against the Panthers. Considered week-to-week
Coach Arthur Smith labeled Terrell (hamstring) week-to-week, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
Analysis: Terrell's hamstring injury appears to be more severe than that of fellow Falcons cornerback Dee Alford, whom Smith termed day-to-day. Both cornerbacks were injured in Atlanta's 35-17 loss to Cincinnati. If Terrell can't play against the Panthers in Week 8, that would open up more space for Carolina's No. 1 receiver DJ Moore.

Back in full Thursday
Terrell (thigh) was listed as a full participant in Thursday's practice.
Analysis: Terrell was forced out of the Falcons' 28-14 win over the 49ers on Sunday with an apparent thigh injury, but his full activity level during Thursday's session indicates that the issue is no longer a concern. The 24-year-old cornerback recorded 28 tackles, five passes defensed and one fumble recovery through Atlanta's first six games, but he'll face the daunting task of covering Cincinnati receivers Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins on Sunday.

Exits with injury
Terrell (thigh) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the 49ers, William McFadden of the Falcons' official site reports.
Analysis: Terrell recorded four tackles before picking up a thigh injury at some point Sunday. Leads team with nine tackles
Terrell notched nine tackles (six solo) and a pass deflection in Sunday's 31-27 loss to the Rams.
Analysis: The lockdown cornerback notched a season-high nine tackles, giving him 14 total across two games. Terrell also forced a field goal by deflecting a third-down pass intended for Cooper Kupp at the beginning of the fourth quarter. The 2020 first-round pick is one of Atlanta's most disruptive defenders, but unless he can maintain his high-tackle volume, he'll likely be a risky IDP option on a weekly basis.

Plays 10 snaps in preseason opener
Terrell recorded one tackle across 10 defensive snaps during Friday's preseason opener against the Lions.
Analysis: Terrell, along with the majority of the defensive starters, played just one drive, which ultimately ended in a Lions touchdown. Nevertheless, the 2020 first-round pick is coming off back-to-back strong campaigns and figures to be a top-tier IDP option at cornerback in 2022. Analysis: Terrell picked off his third pass of the season and registered his first sack of his career.
